February 7, 2025, Rochester, N.Y. – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our esteemed Executive Director, Connie Sanderson. Connie was a visionary leader whose dedication and passion for meeting the needs of unhoused individuals left an indelible mark on PEH and the community we serve.
Connie demonstrated unwavering commitment to ending homelessness by bringing community organizations together, leading the submission of many successful funding applications, and promoting advocacy at the local, state and federal levels. Connie believed in the power of collaboration and worked tirelessly to build strong partnerships. She led with integrity, compassion and a relentless drive to make a positive impact. Under her leadership, the Rochester/Monroe County Homeless Continuum of Care, Inc. blossomed as the Partners Ending Homelessness. Her vision and guidance have set a strong foundation for our continued growth and success.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Connie’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and contributions will live on in the work we do every day.
In honor of Connie Sanderson, we are committed to carrying forward her vision and continuing the important work she championed.
