Action for a Better Community has added a new clinician to our substance abuse program, New Directions. This means we are accepting new clients! If you know anyone looking for substance abuse treatment, including evaluation, group counseling, 1:1 counseling, relapse prevention, etc., New Directions can be a great option. Finally, The Children’s Agenda recently published their latest report on Child Care in New York. The issue focuses on childcare barriers faced by rural communities, including, but not limited to, less availability than suburban and urban communities, and structural issues of NYS funds that reduce the ability of low- and moderate-income families to access care in these communities.
