The Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI) is hosting five (5) focus groups to understand the impact of the $15/hour pay increase on employees across Monroe County. This study aims to understand the impact of the $15/hour pay increase on employees across Monroe County. In order to truly understand employee’s experiences we are hosting 5 focus groups (3 in-person and 2 virtually). The dates of the focus groups are as follows:
• Focus group 1: Thursday, April 7: 5pm (Arnett Library, 310 Arnett Blvd.)
• Focus group 2: Friday, April 8: 5pm (Thomas Ryan R-Center, 530 Webster Ave.)
• Focus group 3: Saturday, April 9: 11am (Arnett Library, 310 Arnett Blvd.)
• Focus group 4: Tuesday, April 26: 5pm (virtual via ZOOM)
• Focus group 5: Wednesday, April 27: 5pm (virtual via ZOOM)
We are recruiting individuals of different languages, abilities, race/ethnicities, age, ZIP Codes, employment sectors and gender identities. Please share the attached flyer with your networks so that as many community members are aware of this study and have the option to share their experiences. ALL participants will be compensated for their time and cash funds are available to cover transportation and childcare expenses, if needed.
