HUD just released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a new CoC program, CoCBuilds, that will provide capital funding for the development of new permanent, supportive housing (PSH) units. Please note that this is a completely separate funding stream from the HUD Continuum of Care Program; the CoC Program NOFO has also just been released.
This community is eligible to apply for up to $7 million dollars for the acquisition, rehabilitation or new construction to increase the supply of PSH units for persons experiencing homelessness. Up to 20% of the award can be used for support services and operating and up to 10% for administration. A 25% cash or in-kind match is required. Attached you will find a summary of the NOFO. The summary includes a link to the full NOFO on the HUD website. Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov and are due 11/27/2024.
PEH will be scheduling an informational meeting for community based organizations and developers that might be interested in applying in the near future. Please feel free to contact me, Connie Sanderson csanderson@letsendhomelessness.org if you have any questions.
