The 10th Annual Scotty B Overdose Awareness Day in Rochester, NY, will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square.
This heartfelt community gathering is dedicated to honoring the lives lost to overdose and celebrating the strength and resilience of those in recovery. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear inspiring stories from individuals with lived experience, enjoy live music from the band Structür, and connect with a wide range of local resources including treatment providers, harm reduction organizations, peer support groups, and advocates for the homeless.
The event will also feature family-friendly activities, Narcan training sessions, and a moving memorial tribute to those we’ve lost. It’s a day to come together as a community, to break down stigma, advocate for compassionate and evidence-based policies, and celebrate every step forward in recovery. By uniting in remembrance and hope, Rochester takes a stand against the overdose crisis and moves toward a healthier, more just future for all.
