Mayor Malik D. Evans is inviting Rochester’s youth and families to learn more about the emotional health and wellness support services that are being offered at four City R-Centers.
“Rochester’s R-Centers are community treasures that already deliver immense value to city residents,” said Mayor Evans. “And now those services are being enhanced with the availability of free, professional social, mental, and emotional health providers. There are many youth who need our help and unfortunately, the dangers and trauma they face are becoming more acute, so we are finding every possible opportunity to support them.”
Starting today, licensed community-based child and family therapists and social learning specialists are available at four R-Centers during regular business hours for registered R-Center youth and families.
Information sessions are scheduled:
• 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, 350 Webster Ave.
• 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9, The Honorable Willie Walker Lightfoot R-Center for Equity and Justice, 271 Flint St.
• 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, David F. Gantt R-Center, 700 North St.
R-Centers provide a wide variety of programs to keep youth and families engaged in a safe place. To learn more about City R-Centers visit
