Rap sheet/Fingerprinting workshop for Justice-Involved persons at the Central Library on Thursday January 5, 2023 at 1pm
To lower barriers from an arrest and conviction record, you need to know what’s on your RAP sheet – your legal Record of Arrest and Prosecution. But to get a copy of your RAP sheet, you must first submit fingerprints to NYS.
Join the Center for Community Alternatives, Judicial Process Commission, and Legal Assistance of Western NY at the Central Library to learn:
• your rights that pertain to the disclosure of your RAP sheet information
• how to apply for a copy of your RAP sheet
• how to maintain confidentiality of your conviction records, and
• where to get help in understanding or correcting your RAP sheet.
Income-eligible attendees will be fingerprinted for free and helped to obtain their RAP sheet. Photo ID required. Bring a NYS Benefit Card or proof of income. All information shared will be kept strictly confidential.
