starting Monday, June 2nd, the Homelessness Assessment Tool (HAT) will officially replace the VI-SPDAT.

|

What this means:

  • The VI-SPDAT will no longer be accepted when adding individuals to the Prioritization List.
  • All providers must now use the HAT for new household entries onto the Prioritization List.
  • All individuals currently on the Prioritization List must have a HAT completed and attached to their existing Coordinated Entry (CE) application.

For those updating applications for individuals already on the Prioritization List:

  • If a person has left your shelter or you’ve lost contact, please ensure they are exited from your shelter/program in HMIS. This helps prevent referrals to programs for people who are no longer eligible and/or available.
  • You may also email a list of these individuals to kmartin@ccsi.org, and we will remove them from the Prioritization List.

Support Available:
We will be available all day Tuesday and half of Wednesday for questions about the HAT or for assistance in completing assessments for those already on the Prioritization List.

Thank you to everyone who has already reached out with questions! For additional help, feel free to contact me directly or join our weekly office hours on Thursdays from 1–2 PM via Zoom:

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to improving our system to help serve our most vulnerable population.
