Emergency Broadband Benefit

|

“Families in every corner of the country have been struggling to get online throughout this pandemic. For those families, we now say help is around the corner. In less than two weeks, we will have a new way for disconnected Americans to access the internet to carry out their day-to-day life, so they can reach the virtual classroom, take advantage of telehealth, and seek new employment opportunities.” Eligible households can apply for up to a $50/month discount for their broadband service. A household qualifies if their income is at or below 135% of federal poverty guidelines or any member of the household qualifies for SNAP, Medicaid, SSI/SSD, has received a Pell Grant or is eligible for free or reduced-price school lunch program.

Households may begin to apply beginning May 12, 2021. For more information on eligibility and to apply on-line go to www.getemergencybroadband.org or call 833-511-0311 for a mail-in application.
