A community meeting of all of our partners receiving HUD Funding was held on November 21st. Items discussed included:
- Local application process for HUD renewal projects will begin in February
- Timeline for annual monitoring by PEH has changed. Monitoring visit will be scheduled shortly after your APR has been submitted to HUD for the current project year.
- SOAR Initiative – SOAR is a process to assist people with applying for SSI/SSD benefits. SOAR is a best practice that increases the percentage of applications approved the first time submitted and decreases the amount of time to get a response. Local training will be scheduled soon.
- Supportive Housing Assessment – A new assessment tool will be available in HMIS for use beginning 1/1/2020. Will assist case managers with developing case plans and goals and uses a matrix to assess progress toward self-sufficiency.
